Jiannan Wu's artworks
At the Swatch Faces 2024 exhibition, Jiannan Wu presents a total of three artworks. Feb. News is a piece that provocatively questions the authenticity and bias present in today’s relentless news cycle. He also presents two mixed-media pieces consisting of acrylic on resin, wood and metal titled Destiny is all, where characters taken from film and TV shows go on the merry-go-round cycle of life, and Cheers, a scene from a raucous dinner party taking place in a traditional household.

About the artist
Born in China and currently residing and working in New York City, Jiannan Wu is a visual artist specializing in sculpture. He received a BFA from the China Academy of Art and his MFA in Sculpture from the New York Academy of Art.
