Art Lab at Shun Art Gallery
Current artists-in-residence Ouma and Miguel Moreno Mateos are showing Art Lab at the Shun Art Gallery in Shanghai.
Humans created science to understand nature. Nature is sometimes far beyond our comprehension. We wonder how much we can or should seek to control it.
From different scientific points of view, Ouma (a veterinary) and Miguel Moreno (a forestry engineer) approach natural uncertainty as a matter of fact, and give us the opportunity to see it as the source of energy that enhances our creativity and plays with the unpredictable, treating natural rules as a most attractive work of art.
Art is not only a human way to express ourselves; nature itself is the greatest work of art, and these two artists show us what we sometimes can’t appreciate with our five senses.
