"Through our interactions with digital devices, we leave massive amounts of digital traces. All of the time, bits of information about us, are created, stored, and collected in some shape or form through our most personal devices. This work represents a data set collected during a 4-month residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai. During this time, artist's phone was programmed to continuously capture various metrics of the device state such as: battery level, phone activity, temperature as well as various interaction events. The data is then visualized and sonified as a musical composition in an attempt to express the complexity and richness of this otherwise uncompelling data set." (Aleksandar Rodic, 2015)
