Angeles Infante

"After more than a month and a half of research, interviews, and social media campaigns, I collected more than 50 stories from people who grew up in Shanghai, between 6 to 83 years old. Using these stories as a key piece, this interactive installation is presented to children as a construction game, with which they can interact and connect with Shanghai through art and architecture.

The installation consists of a series of blocks, where the selected childhood stories are told visually (drawings). Each block describes a story, and when it joins another block the stories mixed up, creating new characters and new stories, as a representation of what happens in the city, where our stories are interlace with others, becoming collective stories."
