Dingzihù is a video and sound installation running simultaneously on 3 screens created during a residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. This vast immersive installation plunges the viewer into a neighborhood of Shanghai and documents its destruction. The title of the film refers to the "nail houses" in Shanghai whose owners refuse to quit despite the ongoing forced urbanization and reconstruction works that impact their close environment. With her installation Eva Borner protests against this forced urban modernization.
