"During my stay, I began to work on the flower, a new topic in my artwork. Les Fleurs de Shanghai is a sort of revival inspired by my own background with Matisse, Bonnard and the light of the French Riviera. My trace is like an “esquisse” between painting and drawing." (Guillaume Lavigne, 2020)
