上海缘分。 
外祖父辈自小生活于上海弄堂，50 年代第一二批知青去往西北。父母皆生于 66 年中，70 文革之后 80 末回到了南方。吾辈 90 生人，机缘巧合，重返故土；其间，三代人经历支援西北，改革开放机会主义，到如今留学大潮与青黄不接，城市变迁一如既往，生而不息一切循环往复。 
饭店伫立百余年，历经风雨巍然不动；生活仅半年光景，仿佛恍若隔世。凭一己执念，以流动性材料释百年上海滩变迁，是回首过往石库门记忆，亦思索天下民众之未来。透琉璃而凭栏望江，思艺术之无用之用。

是日，距申请之时二余年已去，心中仍有它时憧憬。好艺术家需要资本和基金会，资本也需要好的艺术内容。 互利共生，生而不息。承蒙厚爱，望组织后十载愈来愈好。

Shanghai fate.

My grandparents lived in Shanghai alleys since childhood, and the first two batches of educated youth went to the northwest in the 1950s. Both parents were born in the middle of 66 years, and returned to the south in the late 80s after the Cultural Revolution. Our 90-born people returned to their homeland by chance and coincidence. During this period, three generations experienced supporting the Northwest, reforming and opening up opportunism, and now the tide of studying abroad has not been connected with the green and yellow, and the city is changing as always, and all the cycles are endless.

The hotel has been standing for more than a hundred years, and it has survived wind and rain. Relying on one's own obsession, using fluid materials to explain the changes in Shanghai over the past century is to look back on the past memories of Shikumen, and to think about the future of the people of the world. Looking through the glass and looking at the river by the railing, thinking about the useless use of art.

Ps.
It is the day, more than two years have passed since the time of application, and I still have longing for it in my heart. Good artists need capital and foundations, and capital also needs good art content. Mutually beneficial symbiosis, endless life. Thanks to the love, I hope it will get better and better ten years after the organization.

17:00大楼天空开始消逝； 
20:00 稻田开始重新浮现； 
30:00 变化完毕，电源重启，一切循环往复。

Layer 1: 31 Degrees starts to disappear, Dark blue/black as newspaper age printing.

- Paddy field (Shanghai used to be a tidal-flat area, and before Huangpu river took the water away from Suzhou river, it was a Paddy field.)
- Shikumen structure, old community house in Shanghai, I took the fragments and form them into the shape of new building on Pudong form the photos, shots were taken right before 'Da Zhong Li' was demolished 2005-06, the place I lived for several years at childhood.

Layer 2: Still layer. Black 

- The structure of lower buildings along the riverside. Shape it into meatless bones like the abandoned empty concrete structure.

Layer 3: 35 Degrees starts to show. 

- The skyscrapers, Shanghai. In light grey, growing endlessly into the foggy sky.

Layer 4: 40 Degrees starts to show, light grey mix with a bit of blue. 

- The Foggy sky with the shape of growing.

Run automatically from 9am - 7pm, everyday 
10 minutes heating on, 20 minutes heating off every half an hour.

And the reverse will go much slower due to the remaining heat on the aluminum board, also shows the counter-urbanization is much slower after urbanization process, once built it is hard to unbuild.
