By removing the hour and minute hands of the clock, the artist left the fast-spinning second hand to “de-time.” The work takes Shanghai as its origin, and the artist uses a poetic means of expression to create a globalized writing.

The ups and downs of the clock are a directly quantified embodiment of the present GDP in various parts of the world. The artist hopes that viewers will be able to feel that the world is in a complex process of change over time, given the “evidence” of each moment, which also reflects a kind of paradoxical relationship with the writer’s spatial experience from room to world."
