"The art book ‚Tinnitus Studies’ is part of a project with the same title which focus on tinnitus symptom. The artist recorded every interviews with the persons who have tinnitus symptom and re-heard these audio documentations - especially the parts with the descriptions of their tinnitus. From these conversations with the ‘tinnitus-persons’, text fragments were selected for the book. In addition the frequency-spectrum of different tinnitus-soundtracks will be analysed by a computer program, the outcome of the analysis is transformed into a spectrogram. Each spectrogram (one per subject) will be arranged with excerpts of their respective interviews to create a diagrammatic figure." (Ye Hui)
