Cristina Zavala Portugal is a Peruvian visual artists with roots in China. During the residency her intention is to develop an illustrated book project or comic book about the bond between Peru and China, about the origin of her ancestors, their culture, their traditions, the migration and above all the return to China after 5 generations. The illustrations of the book will be worked on the basis of the photographic recording that the artist will carry out during the Artistic residence in China.
