New artist arrival: Elisa Insua

Visual artist and sculptor Elisa Insua from Argentina arrives at the artist residence.

Elisa Insua is an Argentine visual artist based in Buenos Aires, who works mainly with discarded materials, creating large assemblages, sculptures and installations. Since she has a bachelor’s degree in economics and business, most of her work is conceptually inspired in ideas of value, consumption and insatiability. Her current work is also related to geology and how the waste we leave behind will be swallowed and reconfigured by geologic processes.
