New artist arrival: Han Qin

Multidisciplinary artist Han Qin from China arrive at the artist residence.

Han Qin is a visual artist, curator, and researcher committed to exploring and challenging biases in public art through digital installations, printmedia, and curation, all approached with a journalistic sensibility. Born and raised in Hangzhou, China, Han now calls Long Island, New York, home.

During her stay at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel Han Qin is planning to create series of cyanotype-silk paintings with an AI-aided process on the topic of the emotion of
immigration, living in the digital world as well as in between cultures.
