New artist arrival: Maria Xia

Writer Maria Xia from the USA arrive at the artist residence.

Maria Xia is a writer and computer programmer who lives in New York City. She completed her undergraduate studies in English Literature at Harvard University and her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Washington University in St. Louis. 

During her stay the artist is planning to complete a collection of stories about two places: the hometown she grew up in and the setting of her adulthood. These stories explore young adults making their way in this world.
