New artist arrival: Reto Steiner

Visual artist and sculptor Reto Steiner from Switzerland arrives at the artist residence.

During his stay the artist plans to create body fragment-like wooden reliefs. The carved sculptures are meant to incorporate the environment and tradition of woodcarving in Shanghai, matching and expanding it with his artistic repertoire.
Reto Steiner lives and works in Frutigen in the Swiss Alps. After training as a stone sculptor, he completed his master's degree in Contemporary Arts Practice at the Bern University of the Arts.
