Yanir Shani is a visual artist coming from Tel Aviv and currently working in Oslo. Shani’s photographs depict political landscapes in the time of the Anthropocene. While observing critically at the medium, he captures subjects that represent histories of involvement, symbiosis, or struggle between man and nature. Through the lens of cultural, historical, and personal optics, the works weave together and challenge ideas of belief, control, ideology, collective memory, and perception.
