Françoise Issaly is a Canadian artist of French origins who presently lives in Shanghai. She studied in Montpellier and Bordeaux, France. She works in paintings, drawings, installations, 3D and sometimes videos. Her work focuses on patterns, memory, and the quest for identity. During her time at the residency, she will work on a series inspired by tree bark patterns from platanus trees in Shanghai.
