A universe of fantasy and diverse artistic practices, created by five former artists-in-residence at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel.
Their languages intertwine and immerse the visitor in an environment where stories, forms, techniques, and materials bring to life five different points of view on the imaginative paths that only nature can inspire. Painting and fresco
Stefania Orrù’s practice is grounded in a material-driven process rooted in Mediterranean culture and traditional pictoric techniques. Using lime-based compounds, scagliola, natural pigments, and raw supports like jute and wood, she builds surfaces through layering, carving, covering, and smoothing. The work emphasizes process over representation, recording traces of construction, erosion, and repair, while creating a dynamic dialogue between what emerges and what remains concealed.
