Celyn Bricker: Rays of Light
Former resident artist Celyn Bricker from the UK is showing his recent work in the group exhibition 'Rays of Light'.
‘Rays of Light’ is a dual solo exhibition with former resident Celyn Bricker and Chinese artist Ding She. In the exhibition Celyn brings together a body of work made over the past several years, which explores broad questions around ecology and artificial intelligence; a number of these pieces were begun while Celyn was a resident at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. These works are in dialogue with Ding She’s work, who is also exploring related topics through a contemporary interpretation of Chinese calligraphy. The exhibition takes place in the Jiushi Art Gallery, on the sixth floor of the Jardine Matheson building on the Bund in Shanghai, which happens to be the building directly next to the Swatch Art Peace Hotel.
‘Rays of Light’ open from 18th January 2023 until 12 March 2023 at the Jiushi Art Gallery, Shanghai Bund no.18.
