"During the 3 months in Shanghai, I did lots of wandering in the city. Although I was born in China, but after the gap during my stay in another country, it gives me lots of refreshments to view its developments and the citizen culture. I was really enjoying sitting with them, talked to them and did the observational drawing at them. As the daily behaviors and details could quite speak the city well with its spectacular tastes history. I like the way of documentary in animation. Because I am thinking, that the timeline can reflect the reality well, but also has the ability to combine my psychology at that moment." (Dong Miaojan, 2015)
