"Chronocosm #1 and #2 began with my walks through Shanghai and the photographic notes I gathered—moments of light, color, and small urban signals. From these observations, I reconstructed the city as I perceived it, translating lived fragments into a generative image field. Inspired by the watch as a device that makes time readable, I compressed this accumulated perception into a concentrated visual mechanism. For me, an artwork can function like a clock: rendering the invisible—duration, memory, atmosphere—into a form that can be seen." (Shawn Liu, 2025)
