Swatch Art Peace Hotel: from Shanghai to Locarno.
All the way from Shanghai to Locarno, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Locarno Film Festival, where Swatch is Official Partner also in 2021.
From August 4th to 14th, an international traveling exhibition features the works of four filmmakers from the artists residency.
The exhibition is on view at the BaseCamp: ex-army headquarter transformed during the film festival in an open and inclusive place. Here 150 young creatives between 18 and 30 years old, selected from the major art and film schools in Switzerland, live and work together.
The BaseCamp is a shared community experience where to discover new ideas and cultural approaches.
In this hub of creativity, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel presents the works of the following filmmakers:
Jabulile Nadia Newman (South Africa), artist-in-residence in 2021
Foxy Five

He slowly drifts away from the searching crew, deeper into the forest, deeper into his consciousness, until he finally merges with the essence of Gabriel.

During this day, the family dynamics reveal themselves, and exposes Oren's place- between child and adult, between intimacy and alienation.
