The Swatch Art Peace Hotel and the MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo celebrate together their 10th anniversary.

The Swatch Art Peace Hotel and the MAXXI – National museum for 21st century arts - celebrate together their 10th anniversary.

The 12-month long collaboration between the Swatch Art Peace Hotel and the MAXXI is inaugurated on the occasion of two important anniversaries: the tenth anniversary of the museum and the tenth year of activities of the Swatch artist residency.

The MAXXI  opened in 2010 with an iconic architecture by Zaha Hadid and is one of the most important and visited museums of contemporary art in Italy. A lab focused on art, design, photography, but also cinema, music and live performative arts.

This partnership gives life to several creative projects to build a bridge between Rome and Shanghai: artist talks, exhibitions and many other special occasions, including in September 2021 an exhibition of the most significant works created by invited artists at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. And on top of this, there has been created a special Swatch X You design dedicated to the MAXXI.

The first Swatch ART-Talk, kicks off the collaboration on December 12 at 12 o'clock and can be followed on the social media channels of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel and on those of MAXXI. A conversation on art a which will be attended by the artists Chiara Luzzana, Sandro del Pistoia and Passepartout Duo (Nicoletta Favari and Christopher Salvito) who will talk about their experience during their residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, in dialogue with Carlo Giordanetti, CEO of Swatch Art Peace Hotel, and Hou Hanru, MAXXI artistic director.
