The backside of the Moon

"The backside of the moon has presented the loneliness and isolation during the Covid times. The single use of white acrylic was not only able to illustrate the wrinkles of the moon’s surface but also to represent the purity of the emotions during the isolated timing." (Lu Ge, 2022)

The spheres of redness

"I created the idea of the spheres of redness during the covid times while I was staying in the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. The loneliness of human-beings under an isolated social environment had inspired me to search for the hope of life and for the spiritual contact with other human-beings in-depth. The red spheres have symbolized that beam of light in my life and I wish to turn the red spheres as the symbol of a connecting bridge between individuals and cultures during a very depressing time. I hereby created the visual work - a 8 minutes video - regarding the spheres of redness, trying to illustrating the difficult times in our lives and within relationships, hoping every single of us could find the “redness” in their difficult times.  Therefore, the time I was staying at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel has best-represented this meaning." (Lu Ge, 2022)
