"During my residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, I focused on capturing the unique atmosphere of the city through my artwork. Combining traditional Chinese elements with Korean ceramics, I used traditional Chinese paper as a base for my pieces. I incorporated stamped dragon patterns and auspicious Chinese characters, interspersed with Korean ceramic houses that I crafted. These artworks aimed to express Shanghai's distinct exotic atmosphere and magnificent architecture." (Hyehyeon Kwon, 2024)
