"Shanghai desire is based on the city of Shanghai and its unbridled consumerism. Past and present, Western and Eastern, form the motifs of a collection of textiles transformed into a fashion collection. The tiger and the dragon are strong elements of the exotic Orient, a dominant and masculine symbol of China abroad. Dragons and tigers are combined with other associations to form a particular universe: the background of the motifs is a blurred image (referring to the remote surveillance situation in China) which itself becomes a kind of city or geography : a kind of garden is grafted onto this grid. Images of ancient works of art reconnect the past to the present. "Zeix Berlin", "Zeix Shanghai" and "Shanghai desire" are slogans that punctuate the design of the clothing." (Jérôme Chazeix, 2024)
