"This sculpture was created from the first day of my residency until its final moment, shaped by my observations of the environment and my personal responses to it. I became fascinated by the dynamic between myself and the passersby—especially tourists outside the building—whose gazes reflected a new version of me back to myself. This encounter inspired a visual language combining geometric abstraction, structural deconstruction, and mirrored glass elements, capturing the way my memory of them exists only as my own reflection in their eyes. The work is deeply tied to my time at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, and although I wish to leave it here, I will carry forward this way of seeing into future creations." (Jingyao Huang, 2025)
