T42 dance projects

"During the residency, collaboration with a range of diverse visual artists from all over the world led us to focus on the concept of “framing”. Together we developed and tested some ideas for using choreography and dance to experiment with this notion and process. On a physical level, a frame is a two-dimensional means of “containing” art. But what happens if we explore the huge potential of “framing” in the psychological sense? How do and can audiences/observers of art stimulate and expand their perception to add more layers? Filming in Nanjing Road was an ultimate experiment of bringing the frame out of context and was only possible with our friends’ help at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel." (T42 Dance Projects)
