"This work is related to my inner experience and my memories of Shanghai. By studying traditional Western and Eastern landscape paintings, I want to emphasise that any "landscape" is an "illusion". The "scenery of life" that everyone can see is actually different, and the inner experience is also different. 

What we see may not be real, but our inner experience may be the only real thing. At the same time, I hope to arouse the audience's perception of "personal inner experience” through this work." (Yu Wenjie, 2024)
