"The installation Wigging_rhythm0401 addresses two topics of interest of the artist: (1) the use and the display of technology, and (2) sound conductivity for interaction. With strict dimensional limitations and electricity regulation, this work provides a possibility that the design of interaction is framed and intended to display the technology behind. Sound is used as an integral element in this work. Both motions of a modified traditional cassette player and melodies of electronic music are directly connected to the presence of environmental sound when it goes beyond a certain noise level or triggered by specific actions (e.g. knocking or clapping)."
