New artist arrival: Jakub Święcicki

Polish artist Jakub Święcicki arrives at the artist residence.
Artistic focus: Textile Art

Jakub Święcicki is a designer of utility textiles and computer embroidery at the Design Institute in Kielce. He makes work that merges fiber art, craft, and design. Currently, he is also a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and a member of the association New Craft Poland. As part of his doctoral studies, he is working on a collection of textile objects for blind and visually impaired people.
