New artist arrival: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Collective

The artist group Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Collective formed by artists Ines Cardo, Katerina Mimikou, Sophie Dickson and Jessie Evans arrives at the artist residence.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is a collective formed by artists Ines Cardo, Katerina Mimikou, Sophie Dickson and Jessie Evans in 2019. They came together during our BA in Fine Art due to their shared interest in the themes of home, domesticity, social roles, crafts, mental health and community, which our personal practices also approach from different perspectives.

In their works they aim to revalue the hidden, the embodied, the communal, generational and gendered knowledge, often left aside or looked down upon. They work towards transforming spaces with intimate actions, on a learning from one another philosophy, and understand collaboration as a key element in order to create an open community between artists and the public. They all believe that these banal activities are, in fact, performative actions that lead them to establish powerful nets of intimacy.
